Milwaukee Regional

Milwaukee

mill-e-wah-que

Every time we go to Milwaukee I think of Wayne’s World

Wayne Campbell: So, do you... come to Milwaukee often?

Alice Cooper: Well, I'm a regular visitor here, but Milwaukee has certainly had its share of visitors. The French missionaries and explorers began visiting here in the late 16th century.

Pete: Hey, isn't "Milwaukee" an Indian name?

Alice Cooper: Yes, Pete, it is. In fact , it's pronounced "mill-e-wah-que" which is Algonquin for "the good land."

Wayne Campbell: I was not aware of that.
It still cracks me up.
Mill e wah que was our last regional for the spring season. It was a great show. We had 900 people there. We also went to a shoe box swap. It was my virgin voyage and I didn’t know what to expect. It was so much fun and loved every card I got to make. You guys were awesome to let us come.

The group for one last picture for the season.

We also ate at an awesome Thai place. I always have a fun time traveling with my team and it was a fun season.

Columbus, Ohio

Back in February I went to Columbus for a regional. We had a layover in Atlanta and our flight was delayed. So basically we got in late and then had to set up. Good thing Derek went in early and started setting up or we would have been there forever.

The restaurant next to the hotel was Max and Erma’s. We ate a really late dinner and had to have the freshly baked cookies. Oh they were tasty.

We always like to try different restaurants that we don’t have around here so we went to a place that was recommended to us called Tip Top Kitchen. We called and they didn’t take reservations so we hurried over there. It was a good thing we went when we did because it was a small place and we had to wait a little bit. It was a Saturday night after all. We tried fried green beans which were fabulous! Isn’t anything fried fabulous. We heard they were known for their pot roast, so I tried their pot roast sandwich. Wow, I had died and gone to heaven. It was delicious! I’m so glad we went.
Columbus was an awesome show and I’m glad we went.
