Charlotte Regional

Charlotte, NC was our first regional for the fall season. I had never been to North Carolina so I was pretty excited. We made some changes this year with our regional show, and so far things have been great.

Charlotte was a cute town, the weather was a little hot and humid but it was August, what do you expect.

Saturday night after we cleaned up the show we found a cute little southern place called Mert's Heart and Soul. Oh man it was delicious, the mash potatoes and green beans. You know it's going to be good when there is a star next to the green beans that says cooked with lard. Oh yeah good southern food.

When I was in the airport I saw this gem. Oh it was good. I'm a huge fan of Twix candy bars and this was a caramel coconut one. I was hoping to find them at the store when I got home but so far no luck.

Charlotte was a fun town and I hope to go back. I was happy we went the weekend we did, the next week Huricane Irene hit and it would have made for an interesting weekend.

Summer BBQ

Back in August my work had a Summer BBQ. It was so much fun.

Some of us on the Events team played in the volleyball tournament.

We won the first game but lost the second and then lost the third so therefore we were out. But we sure had fun.

Way to go team! Maybe next year we can take them.

Convention 2011

Ahh Convention! We had an awesome time at convention this year. Our theme was GROW. We had a fabulous set and decor, I loved it. Way to go design team!

Tuesday night we had dinner at a fun place called Bruges Waffles and Fries. Amazing is all I'm going to say, oh so good.

Wednesday night we had a convention kick off party. One of the activities was a sun hat contest. We had some of our staff find their favorite hats. Everyone was so creative. I loved all the hats.

This year we did a few new things at convention. One was having an After Party, after Awards Night,

I'm not really sure what I'm doing here, just givin a good wave with the decor flowers. Those flowers were really awesome.

And what's an After Party without dancing. We rocked the house. I think I shocked my co workers with my dance moves :) ha ha. I just can't help myself.

The next couple days were filled with general sessions, breakout classes, all attendee giveaways, first timers breakfast, + fun classes and tons of fun.

Convention was once again a ton of fun. Way to go team!

Kyle Chandler wins an EMMY!!

Clear Eyes, Full Hearts, Can't Lose!! I was so excited when they yelled or should I say squealed Kyle Chandler's name. He so deserved it. Friday Night Lights is the best show. If you haven't started watching this show, I'm not sure we can be friends anymore, just kidding, but you better start renting the DVD's and catch up. It seriously is the best.

Summer Lovin'

Sometimes Summer TV is kind of lame, good thing I have a few summer crushes.

I love Covert Affairs and Auggie is Summer crush number one.

Covert Affairs is such a good show and it is coming back this Fall! Oh yeah! Auggie is so cute and I totally want him and Annie Walker to hook up.

Harvey Spector

He plays a lawyer in the show Suits. Both Harvey and Mike are hilarious and pretty darn cute. The one liners crack me up. The banter between the characters totally makes the show.

Way to go USA on having some awesome summer shows!
