Charlotte, NC was our first regional for the fall season. I had never been to North Carolina so I was pretty excited. We made some changes this year with our regional show, and so far things have been great.

Charlotte was a cute town, the weather was a little hot and humid but it was August, what do you expect.
Saturday night after we cleaned up the show we found a cute little southern place called Mert's Heart and Soul. Oh man it was delicious, the mash potatoes and green beans. You know it's going to be good when there is a star next to the green beans that says cooked with lard. Oh yeah good southern food.

When I was in the airport I saw this gem. Oh it was good. I'm a huge fan of Twix candy bars and this was a caramel coconut one. I was hoping to find them at the store when I got home but so far no luck.
Charlotte was a fun town and I hope to go back. I was happy we went the weekend we did, the next week Huricane Irene hit and it would have made for an interesting weekend.

Looks like fun. I know you guys work super hard, but it always looks like you just play!! I am so jealous.
We work and play hard, Stef. :) I need these too...wow it has been a really long time since I've visited your blog! I espesh love the one of the 4 cardies....and of course our classic self-portrait. Someday we need to make a scrapbook of just our self-portraits.
